It's usually annoying emails for NRES or ACES about some grad seminar. But this was a nice surprise. The Office of Student Financial Aid has determined that you are eligible for a State of Illinois MAP Plus grant for $500 ($250 fall, $250 spring) for the 2006-07 academic year. This grant was recently credited to your university account. It's nice that Illinois realizes that not all middle-class families can afford college like they think we can.
